At The Blind Factory, we believe a well-designed home brings families closer—and we were proud to be part of Space Invaders’ transformation for Mel, daughters Raven and Aneka, and her husband Rick.
Meet Melanie
Blending families and moving on from the past isn’t always easy—especially when your home is overflowing with memories. For Mel, letting go of her daughters’ childhood clutter was an emotional hurdle. And for her new husband Rick, life in a home where he had no space for his own things was becoming increasingly difficult.
With family tensions rising and their heritage home in disarray, the Space Invaders team stepped in to create a space where everyone could feel heard, valued, and at home. The Blind Factory was proud to help complete the transformation with custom blinds and curtains that brought beauty, comfort, and function back into the space.
The Transformation
Mel was struggling to accept that her daughters, Raven and Aneka, had grown up. Childhood belongings filled the home, leaving little room for Rick to feel like part of the family.
The Space Invaders team approached the situation with care and expertise:
