At The Blind Factory, we believe the right window coverings can bring warmth and comfort to any space—and we were honoured to be part of Space Invaders’ heartfelt transformation for Maree and Bridget.
Meet Maree & Bridget
Losing a loved one is never easy, and for Maree and her daughter Bridget, the pain of losing 18-year-old Maddy left their home frozen in time. Maddy’s room remained untouched, while their love of op-shopping became a way to cope—until the clutter took over their home. With the help of Space Invaders, they found a way to honour Maddy’s memory while reclaiming their space.
The Transformation
Every item in the house had sentimental value, making it hard for Maree and Bridget to let go. Their home became overcrowded and overwhelming, filled with thrifted treasures and reminders of the past.
The Space Invaders team tackled the challenge with care:
✔ Peter Walsh guided them through their grief and attachment to objects.
✔ Cherie Barber designed a vintage-inspired renovation to reflect their unique style.
✔ Angie Kent uncovered rare artwork worth a fortune, hidden in the clutter.
