General

Roller Blinds

That all depends on your preferences! If your blinds are on the outside of the window and are wanting to reduce light gap, it’s best to have the blockout out the back. However some prefer the blockout in front not only to show off the lovely textured fabric, but also to ensure privacy at all times throughout the day, reducing the gap on the sides.
Different fabrics in light and dark shades can create varying effects in your home, depending on your personal preference. If you prioritise maintaining clear visibility outside during the day, opting for a dark fabric would be ideal. On the other hand, if you’re wanting to ensure a space that's as bright as possible and you're not too bothered about the visibility, then a lighter fabric would be more suitable.
Roller blinds can be controlled manually using a chain or spring mechanism, or with motors that can be operated via remote control or integrated into smart home systems.
Roller blinds often come with fabrics that are UV-resistant, which can safeguard your furniture, flooring, and other interior items from sun damage. The level of UV protection may differ based on the fabric you select.

Curtains

Shutters

Plantation shutters have movable louvres that can be adjusted to manage the amount of light and privacy. They are most commonly hinged - designed as a tilt product, opened only to access the window or cleaning, however there are sliding and bifold options available too.
No, we also offer a variety of stains for our Timber shutters! It's important to keep in mind that if you have a spot that receives intense sunlight, like a west-facing window, a stained color might not be the best choice as it likely to fade quickly.
Absolutely! Our PVC shutters are the ideal choice for high-humidity areas because they are more durable against moisture and warping compared to natural wood.

Other Internal Blinds

We provide a diverse range of blinds, some other examples are Vertical Blinds, Venetians, Panel Blinds, Honeycell Blinds & Roman Blinds. Each style caters to different styles and functionalities
Venetian Blinds are designed as a tilt product, only to be pulled up for access to the window. Due to this design, they are not suitable for a doorway that needs to be raised frequently. Doing so can cause damage to the cord, leading to operational issues.
Panel Blinds are an excellent option for this scenario. They have wider panels than Vertical Blinds, creating the modern appearance of a Roller Blind with a sliding function. This also allows for a cohesive look if you have other Roller Blinds in the same room!

Awnings

Awnings are great for minimising heat and shielding from harmful UV rays. Moreover, they have the ability to elevate outdoor living areas and boost energy efficiency by keeping indoor temperatures cool in summer and warm in winter!
Certain awnings come with longer arms that connect the guide to the fabric, enabling it to extend outward. This allows you to open certain windows and enjoy a refreshing breeze while still benefiting from sun protection.
It's not recommended to keep your outdoor blinds during a storm - this can cause damage to both your blind and your home.
When selecting an awning, it's important to think about factors like how you plan to use it, budget, and the look you want to achieve. Our experienced design consultants will be able to help you make the right decision for your home.

Ziptrak®

Certainly! With the addition of a Reverse Lock, your Ziptrak® can be opened from either side.
In windy conditions, blinds should be left down and locked, or fully retracted – halfway is the most vulnerable position. When expecting or experiencing very strong winds, a storm or a severe weather event, your blinds should be fully retracted.
The choice of protection depends on your specific needs. If you want to keep the wind out and maintain a comfortable temperature in your outdoor living area, while still enjoying a clear view outside, PVC blinds are the ideal choice. On the other hand, if you want to allow some airflow but mainly block the sun and reduce glare, a mesh would be the most effective option.

Crimsafe

Crimsafe’s unique Screw-Clamp™ technology means that the mesh is screwed into the frame and clamped down with a vice-like grip using the Crimsafe Screw-Clamp. This makes Crimsafe much stronger than other products that use a plastic wedge to hold the mesh in place.
Yes, Crimsafe meets the requirements of Australian Standard AS3959-2009 Construction of buildings in bushfire-prone areas. With an aperture size of less than 2mm, Crimsafe screens can prevent the spread of embers and can be used in all bushfire zones, including BAL-FZ.
The aperture size is 1.5mm x 1.5mm, which means that Crimsafe does not impede your view in any substantial way in normal lighting conditions.
The holes in Crimsafe’s Tensile-Tuff® security mesh are just slightly larger than regular flyscreen. Flies and mosquitoes are unable to pass through, and Crimsafe cuts the number of sand flies and midges that enter your home by about 80%.
No. Black absorbs light and is non-reflective, so when you look through the mesh, all you see is light that has come straight through the holes in it, making it much easier to see outside. If the mesh was any other colour, it would create glare and reduce visibility.

Troubleshooting

Sometimes this happens when your blind is rolled down too much, causing it to roll back up in the opposite direction. An easy solution is actually the same as what caused the problem in the first place! Gently roll down the blind until you can see the tube exposed - continue slowly, and it will begin to roll back in its original direction. If you're unsure, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to come and repair it for you!
This can occur on large blinds over time, due to the weight. There can be two options to repair - if it has a spring in the tube, this can be re-tensioned and the blind should work as normal. If this does not help, or the blind doesn't have a spring, it could be a sign that the chain mechanism is worn out. In either cases, you can give us a call and we will arrange a serviceman to attend to fix the issue.
When your motor starts beeping, it's a sign that it needs to be charged and will run out of power soon. To charge it, simply grab your charger and insert it into the micro-usb slot located on the side (for motors manufactured around 2019 and earlier, there will be a small tail where the charger connects). While it's charging, you'll notice a small light flashing, which will turn solid once it's fully charged.
If your remote stops working, it probably means it's time to replace the battery! All you need is a CR2450 battery which can be easily found at most local stores.
A simple solution to fix this issue is to apply silicone spray on the side rails of your awning - this will help the components move more smoothly. Avoid using oil-based sprays such as WD-40, as they may cause the guides to become even more stuck.
